Connect Stripe

Pantryk sells fine without a payment provider. With Pay at pickup on, the buyer reserves a slot, hands you the money at the counter, and you record it against the order. Connecting Stripe is what adds the other option — buyers paying by card when they order, and the money arriving in your bank account without you touching it.

It is optional, it is reversible, and publishing a drop never waits on it.

Where it lives

Earnings & Money in the sidebar, then the Payments tab on the rail under the title. That one screen carries everything about how money comes in: whether card payment is available right now, your Stripe connection, the fee you pay, your checkout options, and what buyers can pay with.

Connect it

The Stripe Connect card is the second block on the tab. Press Connect Stripe and Kitchen hands you to Stripe to open the account — a full-page hand-off, not a form inside Pantryk, because the details Stripe asks for (your business, your identity, your bank account) belong to Stripe.

When Stripe is done with you it sends you back to this same tab.

The four states

The pill on the card is the whole answer, and the button beside it changes with it:

Under them sits the capability strip: Accept payments and Receive payouts, each reading On or Off. Those two are what actually decide whether a card payment can happen, so read them rather than the pill alone.

Coming back from Stripe

A visit that arrives back from Stripe says so, in one line above the button, and the line is read from your freshly fetched account rather than from the fact that you returned:

• You’re back from Stripe. Your account is ready. — done, and card payments can switch on.
• You’re back from Stripe. They’re still verifying your details; this page re-checks every time you open it. — nothing more for you to do but wait.
• You’re back from Stripe before finishing. — pick up where you left off; press the button again.
• Your Stripe link expired — continue below. — Stripe’s onboarding links are short-lived. Pressing the button issues a new one against the same account.

If starting onboarding fails outright, the card says so in place and nothing was started.

Turn card payments on at checkout

Connecting the account is not the same as offering it. The Checkout section on the same tab carries your two payment options:

• Online payments — buyers pay when they order, and Stripe handles the charge.
• Pay at pickup — buyers pay when they collect, in cash or on your own card reader.

Online payments is a wish rather than a switch: it only becomes real once Stripe is verified and Pantryk is admitting new card payments. Until then the row says Takes effect once Stripe onboarding completes and offers Connect Stripe right there. Pay at pickup takes effect as it stands — there is no provider behind it.

Under the two rows, one line tells you what a buyer will actually meet at checkout:

• Buyers choose how to pay at checkout. — both are effective.
• Orders are confirmed only once paid online — no-show protection. — card only.
• No online payment at checkout — buyers pay when they collect. — pickup only.

Press Save checkout settings to keep the change.

When card payment is not available

The first block on the tab, Online payment availability, is Pantryk’s own answer to can a buyer start a new card payment right now? It is never guessed from your settings — it is stated, with the one reason that matters:

• Live — buyers can pay by card right now.
• Setup needed — Stripe is not connected, or not verified yet.
• Off — you turned online payments off yourself.
• Paused — new card payments are paused across Pantryk for the moment. When that pause is a safety measure the pill says so: Paused — emergency stop.
• Unavailable — card payments are off across Pantryk.
• Needs attention — a configuration problem on our side. Contact support; it is not something you did.

In every one of those, pay at pickup still works, and any payment already made or in progress is unaffected. While card payments are off platform-wide, the Connect Stripe button is replaced by the sentence saying why — you are never offered a button that would be refused.

What buyers can pay with

The Buyer payment methods card lists them: Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, BLIK and Klarna. Stripe chooses which of those to show each buyer from their device and your storefront’s currency, and Pantryk manages the list — there is nothing to configure and no toggle to hunt for. Swish is not among them.

Getting paid

Once card payments are running, the money lands in your Stripe balance and Stripe pays it out to your bank on the weekly schedule Pantryk sets for every connected account. Your balance and your recent payouts are on the Summary tab, and Manage payouts & bank details in Stripe under them opens your Stripe dashboard — a fresh single-use sign-in link, minted the moment you press it.

Disconnecting

There is no disconnect button. To stop taking card payments, turn Online payments off in Checkout and save: buyers go back to paying at pickup, your Stripe account and its history stay where they are, and switching back on is one toggle.
